Sports and physical activities:

- running and races (Alex?)
- pilates
- swimming (Alex? Anemone?)
- dancing:
- dancing school: Bootz-Ohlmann, Brauerstr. 12, 66123 SB, Tel: 0681-371161
- dancing school: Euschen-Gebhardt, Karcherstr. 16, 66111 SB, Tel: 0681-361 04
- The University of Saarland’s Winter Ball
- gyms and trainers: There are quite a few gyms in town, and each usually has trainers that work for them. But finding an independent trainer that doesn’t work for a gym is hard. There are a few that exist, but none of them (in my opinion) seems particularly knowledgeable.
Cultural activities:
- classical and jazz music
- other music
- cinema and theatre
- museums and other exhibits
- choirs: University of Saarland choir and the Ludwigskirche choir.
- singing lessons
Travel:
- day trips from Saarbruecken, using public transportation
- ski trips, such as to Feldberg, the highest point in the Black Forest.
- day trips that require a car:
- apparently there are some old WWI battle sites (Verdun?) that are interesting to visit. I hear that you can still see the trenches and flattened villages.
- Colmar is supposed to be nice, but a long trip on the train I think.
